Have you seen your GP for a referral letter yet?
Making an appointment
- See your GP to obtain a referral. We recommend that your GP include detailed information about why you are seeking specialist care.
- Once Celebrate Women receives your referral, a specialist will review and triage it based on the information provided by your GP.
- Following triage:
- If the specialist is able to accept your referral, the Celebrate Women administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment.
- If the specialist is unable to accept your referral, a return-of-care letter will be sent electronically to your GP, and a copy will also be mailed to you for your records.
You are welcome to contact us on 07 4331 7523 with any queries.
Our rooms are located on Level 3 of The Friendlies Medical Suites which is situated behind the main campus of The Friendlies Society Private Hospital.
What to Bring
- Any tests results that you may have - especially if these were completed after your GP referred you
- Any other information you think your doctor might need about you (e.g. if you have a list of medications, a detailed care plan, or advanced health directive, or letters from a previous specialist about your treatment)
- Health fund and medicare details
It is often helpful to bring a list of questions, and a trusted friend or partner is always welcome too.
